YMT Technologies has signed a five-year agreement with FANUC to become the first ever reseller and distributor of FANUC Robodrill machining centres in the UK. The appointment gives manufacturers in the south of the UK, a direct route to FANUC Robodrill machine sales and support.
The partnership grew directly out of YMT’s own automation work. Our Tuscan RC automation series has long used FANUC robotic arms, and the success of that combination led FANUC to begin fitting Tuscan robots to their own Robodrill machines. That working relationship, and the results it delivered for customers, opened the door for YMT to start selling FANUC Robodrill machining centres in their own right.
FANUC is one of the largest industrial automation companies in the world, with a turnover of around 5.5 billion dollars, and the Robodrill is among the most widely used compact machining centres in manufacturing. For UK customers, it means access to FANUC Robodrill machining centres alongside Tuscan automation, applications and service support under one roof.
The agreement was formalised with a visit to FANUC’s headquarters in Japan to meet the company’s senior leadership in person. It is a significant step for YMT, and one we are confident will bring real value to UK manufacturers.
